1.94ct Tasmanian sapphire 14ct gold ring

$5,998.00

An exceptional 1.94ct natural Tasmanian sapphire set into a solid 100% recycled 14ct yellow gold ring.

comes with a handcrafted Tasmanian spalted sassafras box for safe keeping.

-

Our Tasmanian Sapphires come from the rivers & creeks of North East Tasmania. This sapphire was hand dug by us!

The source of these rare gemstones is deep underground basalt that over a long period of time was slowly exposed to the surface, then rivers eroded, transported, and eventually concentrated the sapphires into the river deposits where you can find them today.

All of our Tasmanian Sapphires are 100% natural meaning that they haven't been treated to change their appearance.

We create our Tasmanian Sapphire jewellery mostly using a technique called “lost wax casting” which gives the pieces an organic / fluid feel which not only compliments the sapphires beautifully (especially the raw stones), but represents the wild rivers of East Coast Tasmania in which we dig for these special gems.

All of our faceting is done locally here in Hobart, Tasmania.
